TXD: NFL Mock Draft 1

19 days away from the draft, (4-28-11) I've decided to do a mock draft of the 1st round.

#1 CAR. Cam Newton, QB Auburn
It's sad that that Carolina will pick a QB 2 years straight but it looks like there really set on the heisman winner.

#2 DENV. Marcell Dareus, DT Alabama
Nice inside threat.

#3 BUFF. Von Miller, LB Texas A&M
Even though Von isn't attending the draft, the Bills run a 3-4 that is perfect for Von, even though the Bills could use someone like Cam at QB, but there not getting him unless they trade up.

#4 CINN. AJ Green, WR Georgia
Necessity for the Bengals with Ocho Cinco carrying most of the load, a big pick up for Cincy.

#5 ARI Blaine Gabbert, QB Missouri
Easy pick for the Cardinals if Von is gone by then.

(------- Rest of First Round

#6 CLE. Nick Fairly, DT Auburn
Not sold on him, but he will have a couple good years.

#7 SANF. Patrick Peterson, CB LSU
Perfect fit for 49ers.

#8 TENN.Robert Quinn DE UNC
Not sure if they really need a End but they won't let him slide down.

#9 DALLAS. Tyron Smith, OT USC
As much as they want Prince from Nebraska, they just can't pass up on the best lineman.

#10 WASH. Julio Jones, WR Alabama
One of the best combines I've ever seen, Redskins are in need for some offensive threat.

#11 HOUS. Prince Amukamara, CB Nebraska
Houston is in some need for a better secondary, just ask there fans. This is the man to help out into the Texans D.

#12 MINN. Jake Locker, QB Washington
I don't know what kind of player the Vikings are looking for, but I'm not sure if Jake Locker is that player, yet. They are in a desperate need for a QB.

#13 DET. Anthony Castonzo, OT Boston College
He had a wonderful combine, the Lions need to keep Stafford healthy if they want to make the playoffs.

#14 ST.LOUIS. Da'Quan Bowers, DE Clemson
With a poor combine, I have Bowers dropping down to St. Louis.

#15 MIA. Mark Ingram, RB Alabama
Add to an impressive RB core for Miami

#16 JAC. JJ Watt, DE Wisconsin
Even though they might pick Kerrigan out of Purdue.

#17 NEWE(OAK). Cameron Jordan, DE Cal.
Patriots need some help on the line to with there great LB and Secondary core.

#18 SAND. Ryan Kerrigan, DE, Purdue.
Not set on Kerrigan yet.

#19 NYG. Mike Pouncy, OG, Florida
Great fit, impressive lineman who could also play Center.

#20 TAMPA. Jimmy Smith, CB, Colorado
Soon to take over Barber's spot.

#21 KC. Akeem Ayers, OLB, UCLA
Had one of the best 40 times in the combine.

#22 INDY. Stephen Paea, DT, Oregon ST
Strongest man in the combine climbed up on the draft board.

#23 PHIL. Brandon Harris, CB, Miami
I didn't have Harris this high, but it looks like Philly has there eyes on a Corner.

#24 NEWO. Adrian Clayborn, DT, Iowa
Potential talent if he gets his act together.

#25 SEA. Christian Ponder, QB, Florida St.
I honstely don't think he's that good, but he might blossom under Hasselback.

#26 BAL. Cameron Hayward, DE/DT, Ohio St.
Ravens could pick anyone with defensive talent.

#27 ATL. Nate Solder, OT, Colorado
Protect Ryan is the goal.

#28 NEWE. Mikel Leshoure, RB, Illinois
I think he could do great with the Patriots.

#29 CHI. Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Pittsburgh
Cutler could use a receiver like Baldwin.

#30 NYJ. Corey Liuget, DE/DT, Illinois
Rex Ryan could figure out how to use him.

#31 PITT. Gabe Carimi, OT/OG, Wisconsin.
I think the Steelers want to run. This is the direction to go in.

#32 GB. Aldon Smith, DE, Missouri
Even though the Packers don't need him right away, they could use him.
