Kendrick Lamar x Being Robbed & Award Shows

The West Coast rapper finally opened up recently about his thoughts on Macklemore winning the grammy award for best rap album over his Good Kidd Maad City album:

["It's well deserved; he did what he did, man," Kendrick said. "He went out there and hustled and grinded. Everything happens for a reason; the universe comes back around, that's how it go." While Kendrick may have grounds to feel snubbed, he's hardly the first rapper to come up empty; hip-hop legends such as Snoop Doggand Nas have been snubbed numerous times. "I definitely feel like they should always have more of the culture up in there, for sure, because we definitely stand out just like any other genre," Kendrick said when asked if he thought the Grammys undervalued hip-hop (XXL Mag)]

Kendrick Lamar also stated that award shows should put more emphasis on rap and hip-hop

"We part of the world. We part of the movement. So I think any awards, including the Grammys, should always push for more hip-hop because it's music as a whole, it's not just splitting different regions. Everything moves as far as sound and vibrations, and that's how it goes. And we are a part of that." (XXL Mag)

Slaughterhouse x The Road To Total Slaughter"

It has been confirmed that oh so lyrical Slaughterhouse will indeed host a new series for battle rap.
The Shady Records crew explained that they will put 8 battle rappers up against each other with four rappers on each side and the Slaughterhouse rappers will judge accordingly. The winner of each event will co-headline the main event with two legends in the battle game. We will definitely be on the look out for this project as battle rap is major in rap culture but not as popular as it once was. Excited to see how this unfolds.

No More Bad Boy? Psh.

Rumors have been swirling around that the infamous label "Bad Boy" founded by Sean "P. Diddy" Combs was shutting down after 20 years. However, a bad boy rep recently cleared the air with XXLmag stating that that was nothing but a rumor

[The label created by Sean "Diddy" Combs recently commemorated 20 years of existence, but today the viral universe fanned rumors of Diddy shutting down Bad Boy. With swirling hearsay reported that people have either been fired or moved on to other companies, a rep from Bad Boy officially confirmed with XXL that "Bad Boy shutting down is nothing more than rumors," and "isn't true." Bad Boy houses acts like French Montana, Janelle Monae, Machine Gun Kelly, Red Cafe and King Los amid others. (XXL Mag)]

Kanye Beats Charge

It was definitely a G.O.O.D day for rapper Kanye West when the D.A. rejected that rapper be charged with battery for beating up guy in the waiting room of a Beverly Hills chiropractor establishment. The altercation occurred after an 18 year old man used a racial slur in an argument with Kanye's fiance Kim Kardashian. He still does face a misdemeanor battery charge after his physical altercation with paparazzi in an airport, the hearing is scheduled for February 25th.

[Lil Boosie was arrested in 2009 for a third-offense marijuana possession charge and violation of probation.
